Our story
Conflux grew from the belief that shared understanding across generations enables rural business families to flourish.
For over 20 years, Phil Alchin advised some of rural Australia’s most established business families. He was present for decisions that defined enterprises, succession conversations that determined what came next, and discussions that rarely travelled beyond the kitchen table.
Time and again, he saw that questions about roles, purpose and the future often went unasked. That, and advisory tended to centre on the ownership generation. It sat with him, and it moved him to act. Conflux was born to bring every generation into the room, so families can move forward with clarity and confidence, together.
OUR FOUNDER
From farming family to specialist advisory
Phil Alchin grew up on a farm in country NSW – an upbringing that gave him an intimate understanding of rural family life.
Over two decades as a Partner and Principal Advisor at Boyce, Phil worked with some of the country’s most respected rural business families across strategy, succession and estate planning, financial performance, governance and wealth advisory.
He also held senior leadership roles, including four years as Managing Director, and later completed specialist study through the Family Firm Institute and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Phil is curious and discreet, and takes the trust placed in him seriously.
